Bear Club

Bear Club is a project devised to help staff in school, build positive relationships with families as their child starts school. It also can help parents to understand how they can help their child get ready for and settle into schools. 

We started Bear Club in September 2020 to help our new children settle into school and to help our current KS1 children return to school after such a long time away. Bear Club has proved to be very successful and separation anxiety was significantly reduced during the first few weeks of term. Seeing what impact it had made us roll this out as a continued project every year for our new starters.

Our class bear- Huggie, gets up to all sort of fun and mischief and we enjoy looking at photographs of what our friends' bears have been up to at home with their owners.
