Who may I contact for further support?

Derbyshire Information, Advice and Support Service (DIASS)
It is important that parents are aware of the Derbyshire Information, Advice and Support Service (DIASS). This service offers free, confidential and impartial support to parents, carers, children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
How to Contact DIASS
Parents, carers, children and young people can contact DIASS by:
- Completing the contact form on the DIASS website
- Emailing: ias.service@derbyshire.gov.uk
- Telephone: 01629 533668 (leave a message for a return call)
The advice line is staffed five days a week, 9:30am–3pm. While the team aims to respond to enquiries within two working days, response times may be longer during busy periods.
DIASS can offer:
- telephone or email advice
- face‑to‑face support where appropriate
- further involvement when needed, agreed in discussion with families
This service is designed to help families understand processes, make informed decisions and feel confident in accessing support.
