Welcome to Class 1!!
The children are taught by Mrs Kealy Mon - Wed and by Mrs Randle on a Thursday and Friday. All our children whether in Reception or Year 1, are taught phonics using Read, Write Inc and we regularly hold a phonics evening so you can get to grips with how best to support your child. Please speak to one of the teachers or Mrs Pywell, our lovely and very knowledgeable Class 1 teaching assistant.
Class 1 have been really busy learning all about plants. They have read and done some amazing work on The Enormous Turnip and created their own artwork in the style of Monet.
They are VERY busy bees.
I have been so impressed with class one's Maths this week.
The receptions were doubling!
The year 1's were looking at different 2d and 3d shapes.
We really worked out socks off!
Keep it up class 1.
WOW!
We became experts in Chinese dancing this week.
We learnt how to dance like different animals, using our bodies to move in different ways
and we even got to use props.
Can you Dance like us?
What amazing rhyming by the Reception and Year 1's This week!
The receptions were matching words to make a Rhyming string.
The year ones were creative and made their own!
Can you show this off to your parents?
Welcome back and Happy new year!!!
