Summer Term Two
Wow! We are into the final term already! Let's hope the sun shines and we can have lots of fun outside. Our Themes for this term are Castles for Topic work and Dinosaurs for Science. It's going to be a busy term!
Welcome back to school after the Easter break. The children have had a great first week learning about the life cycle of butterflies. We have been really excited to use the new interactive board which we have used to sing songs, watch 'The Hungry Caterpillar' and play some games.
The children have also been rock stars this week, performing songs on our outdoor stage and playing a range of instruments.
Pirate Day!
Pirate Day was amazing and we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The children had fun using their imagination to build a pirate ship, walk the plank and scrub the decks. We read and followed clues to find the treasure and all of the children made a handprint pirate. We used the I-pad to make our pirate selves and the children wrote their name and a description of their pirate personality. Some children made telescopes and treasure maps and there were lots of messages in bottles floating around. Well done everybody! A very busy day with lots of learning through play!
It's Christmas!!
We are ready for our Nativity performances, all dressed in our costumes.
The children have learnt about road safety this week. We have talked about safe places to cross the road and how we should 'Stop, Look and Listen' when crossing the road.
The children enjoyed role playing crossing the road using a zebra crossing and some scooters as the traffic. We had a lolly-pop person stopping the traffic and pedestrians waiting for a safe time to cross.
Welcome to Class One's page. The children in this class are taught by Mrs Curtis on a Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and by Mrs Barratt on Thursday and Friday. Our teaching assistant is Mrs Pywell.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
