Summer 1
This term we will be learning about 'sound' in Science and Islam as part of our RE topic. We will also be busy practising for the Halle concert in July, which will involve a piece on the clarinet and lots of fun songs. You must remember to bring in your clarinet EVERY Monday!
In English you will be writing your own adventure story based on the book ' The Fantastic Flying Journey'. You will even get to design and make your own hot air balloon for your adventure.
It is really important that you continue to learn your weekly spellings :) and practice your times tables.
I have attached the homework and term overview.

Spring 2
Wow! I really can't believe I've been at South Wingfield for half a term, time has certainly flown by. I have really enjoyed getting to know you all and everyone has made me feel very welcome.
This week I have been really impressed with your team work in English, you have written some beautiful poems, well done :). In Maths we have had a 'hands on' week doing lots of measuring and then using your data to make a bar chart. We also enjoyed our first week swimming I'm sure some of you have gills, you swim like little fishes.
Next week we will be continuing with our poetry work but performing them to the class. In Maths we will be moving on to fractions.
I have attached the information for what we will be doing in Spring 2.
