Track and Trace
We wanted to alert parents to the implications of Track and Trace on schools. Schools are entitled (and have lawful basis) to share personal data relating to health where necessary, where it pertains to: employees, pupils, parents and visitors to school under the GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018.
The ICO states :
'Where possible, organisations should have clear an accessible privacy information in place before processing beings. However, we recognise in this exceptional period, this may not always be possible. Organisations should ensure that privacy notices are in place and updated as soon as reasonably practicable.'
We are therefore advising all our parents/carers/other visitors that personal data (if we hold it) may be shared with the NHS/Public Health Agencies where relevant to the Covid pandemic. The Track and Trace scheme does have a Privacy Notice:

If you have any further concerns about how your personal information is used for this scheme, please contact school.
