Safeguarding

At South Wingfield Primary School, the safety and wellbeing of every child is our highest priority. We follow all statutory government guidance, including the Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) 2023 requirements, which have been fully implemented across the school. All staff are trained to be vigilant and confident in recognising and reporting signs of abuse or concerns regarding a child’s welfare.
Our school building and grounds are secure, and all visitors must sign in on arrival. Any visitors who are not members of school staff or the local authority are accompanied at all times while on the premises.
Collection and Pick‑Up Arrangements
To help us keep all children safe:
- If there is any change to the normal pick‑up arrangements, please inform your child’s class teacher or the school office as soon as possible.
- Children will not be released to anyone under the age of 16, so please ensure older siblings meet this requirement before arranging collection.
