Personal Development

At South Wingfield Primary School, we are committed to nurturing the whole child. Personal development is at the heart of our curriculum and school ethos, helping children grow into confident, respectful, and resilient individuals.

We provide a wide range of opportunities that support pupils’ spiritual, moral, social, and cultural development. Through PSHE lessons, assemblies, enrichment activities, and community involvement, children learn about healthy relationships, emotional wellbeing, staying safe, and making positive choices. We also promote leadership, teamwork, and independence through roles such as school council, eco ambassadors, and peer mentors.

Our inclusive environment encourages every child to recognise their strengths, celebrate diversity, and develop the skills they need to succeed both in school and beyond.
