Events Calendar Summer 2016
Easter Humpty Wall - this is now up in the hall, 50p per brick! Please come and see us after Friday assemblies when we will be selling tickets. The last remaining tickets will be sold on Thursday 24th March during the Easter Bingo and Bonnet events.
Cinema Night - Tuesday 12th April. A letter will be going out for this next week, but please ensure you complete the collection details as we won't let any children go to minors under 18. If you are able to volunteer at this event, please let one of the committee members know.
Summer Fayre - Saturday July 2nd. Again, if you could volunteer in any way or would like to run a stall yourself, please get in touch.
Christmas Fayre - Saturday November 26th. Yes, it's early I know, but put the date in your diaries so you can stock up on any last minute Christmas items.
This year we have bought a cooker (£74.95) for school, so they can run the cookery club after Easter. We have also bought a new urn (£62.29), as the old one has given up. We are currently looking at several other ways that we can support school with funding and will let you know when these have been agreed.
Don't forget we are always looking for volunteers and more members. If you can spare the time, please get in touch!
This year, the PTA has funded £1,500 for Forest School which ensured that the provision could continue for this year. The PTA has also funded £285 for one school reading scheme and £300 for another reading scheme. The PTA is funding a one year pilot of £48 for Play re-cycle membership which will enable the school and PTA to get materials that can be used for art and craft in school and at PTA events. The PTA has also agreed to fund £240 for wooden modular blocks that needed to be replaced.
Many thanks for all those who attended our recent Summer Fair. The rain held off, despite the thunderstorm the night before and everyone was treated to a magnificent day. The Bake Off was a huge success, with lots of tasty entries with Amelia Peat winning the children's entry with her delicious lemon meringue cup-cake.
There were cakes, sweets, bottle stalls, cards, teddies, face-art, netball/football challenges, as well as bouncy castles, raffles and candy floss. Not to mention delicious burgers and sausages. You could even welly-wang and apple bob if the notion took you!
Can't wait until next year!
