Learning in the Early Years Through Play!
The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) sets standards for the learning, development and care of your child from birth to 5 years old. Many children will have been educated in pre-school settings or nurseries where they will have been working within the Early Years Foundation Stage Profile (EYFSP). Many settings refer to this stage as Foundation Stage One and so as your child progresses into school they will complete Foundation Stage Two.
The EYFPS is divided into seven areas of learning, three prime and four specific. The areas of learning are; Personal, Social and Emotional Development, Communication and Language, Physical Development, Literacy, Mathematics, Understanding of the World and Expressive Arts and Design.
In Class One we teach this curriculum through play!
