Safeguarding
At South Wingfield Primary School, we take the safety of your children very seriously. New updates from the government called Keeping Children Safe in Education 2021 - 2022, has been fully implemented in the school and all staff are aware of how to be vigilant when looking for signs of abuse. We have recently moved our school entrance and reception area, as well as installing a video system for visitors to school, to ensure that we know exactly who is coming to school and where they are once inside.
Please ensure therefore that if there is a change to the normal pick-up arrangements, either your child's class teacher, or the school secretary are made aware. We will not allow children to be collected by minors, so please ensure older brothers and sisters are at least 16 before sending them to collect other children.
Should you have any safeguarding concerns regarding the school please contact:
Mr Hunt - Designated Safeguarding Lead
Mrs Kealy - Deputy Safeguarding Lead and SENDco
Mrs Williams - Deputy Safeguarding Lead
Mr Shepherd - Safeguarding Governor
Anne Holmewood - Derbyshire's Local Designated Officer
