Dear Parents/Carers
Derbyshire County Council have asked us to provide a link to a lockdown survey, which hopes to capture your views on what is working well and what isn't working so well. The survey is open until 7th February and can be accessed by following the link below.

Dear Parents/Carers
After tonight’s announcement from the Prime Minister, the Chair of Governors and I have reluctantly taken the decision to close the school to ALL children tomorrow to allow us to prioritise our lists of critical workers and vulnerable children and inform those parents in the first instance. All other children will be sent remote learning ready for Wednesday’s learning.
We will be in touch tomorrow with more information, but would ask you to refer in the first instance to the guidance here which details who is classed as a critical worker.
Once you have read the current guidance, if you believe yourself to be a critical worker please complete the form on this link.
Many thanks

Pupil Safety, Dark Nights, Fireworks
Next Saturday night we will be setting the clocks back an hour and summer time ends. Road traffic collisions increase by 20% in the fortnight after the time change. Sadly, some of those collisions will involve child pedestrians and cyclists. Children under-16 are one of the most vulnerable groups of road users.
The latest available government statistics (2015) show that 58% of children who die or are seriously injured in a road collision are involved in incidents between 3 and 7pm. From next Sunday, much of those will happen in darkness. Whilst younger children are at risk, the data shows that 11 - 15-year olds are actually at more at risk from accidents that kill or result in serious injury.
The resources below will help remind children, especially teenagers, about road safety and safe cycling. T

School Office - see picture below
If you need to visit school for any reason, please be aware that from March 2020, we have restricted access unless by prior appointment.
We are hoping to launch a new online method of paying for Out of School Club, Trips, Clubs etc within the next couple of weeks, but if you need to pay in any money, please call the office beforehand.
Late arrivals & pick-ups
If your child is late, please do not try and enter school through any other way than by the front entrance, where you will need to ring the doorbell. This is to avoid any children mixing with a different bubble.
If you are delivering something that has been forgotten, again please go to the main entrance door and press the buzzer.
If your child is ill or you are wanting to collect for a medical appointment or other agreed reason, please try to let school know beforehand when you are coming and once again, come to the school entrance and press the buzzer.
EVERYONE WHO ENTERS SCHOOL WILL NEED TO WEAR A FACE COVERING AND WILL BE ASKED TO SANITISE THEIR HANDS
Please do not tailgate any other persons entering the school and do not hold the door open for anyone else without permission from the school office.
All children will be expected to return to school on Thursday 3rd September 2020. Wednesday is an INSET day, so no children will be expected in school. Out of school club will be opening on Monday 7th September with breakfast club starting at 7.30 am.
Below is a list of start times for each year group, but please refer to your child's individual class letter, for specific details for their class.
Please remember to not arrive early onto the playground and to leave as soon as your child has been collected by a staff member.
All siblings will go with the oldest sibling(s) start and end times, so that parents aren't waiting around
e.g. if you have a Y5 child and a reception child, the reception child will come at the same time as the Y5 child i.e. 8.35 am and leave at the same time i.e. 3.15 pm

**Please note: We would prefer if our older children in Years 5 & 6 could arrive and leave school on their own without parents accompanying them, as this will reduce the number of adults around. We appreciate that some parents will have younger siblings, in which case you will be able to walk down and drop off that child/children as per your class letter.
If Y5 & 6 can meet parents at their cars or further along the pavement we would very much appreciate it
Many thanks in advance
Please visit the link below for updated guidance from the Government with regards to schools during the coronavirus outbreak
Dear parents and carers,
Following the Prime Minister’s announcement this evening, a phased reopening of schools, to children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 6 may be returning from1st June. There is a lot to consider before this happens, including questions around social distancing, staffing and how daily routines will take place to ensure safety for all. The health and safety of children, staff and those who drop off and collect each day, is of the highest importance to us.
The local education authority, teaching unions and the schools Governors will also have to risk assess any plans before children return to the classroom.
Please rest assured that I will keep you all fully informed at every stage.
The Prime Minister also stated that people may return to work from tomorrow, where possible, if they cannot work from home. I would like to make it clear that this does not change the criteria for which school will provide childcare for Key Worker children.
We are still only offering childcare for families where parents are Key Workers and whose jobs are critical to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Thank you for your continued support.
